2-day Lo Go Xa Mat NP Discovery

The national park covers more than 16,000 hectares in Tay Ninh Province and is located roughly 150 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City. The Vam Co Dong River's flow has a major impact on its geographic location, land height, and hydrological pattern, all of which profoundly influence the area vegetation. According to scientists, the national parks contain melaleuca, lowland deciduous, evergreen, and semi-deciduous forests.

Seldom seen species in the national park include Alexandrine parrots, Sarus cranes, Asian openbill storks, white-chested bears, and langurs. Travelers should not miss events like fishing mussels, going on a riverboat excursion, and taking a stroll in the forest to breathe in the natural air. Finally, visitors can enjoy a tour that leads them to historical artifacts buried deep in the forest, or they can take a tour of Da Ha Stream where a ranger will teach them how to survive in the jungle./.

The group departed from the city center at 5 am, traveling by car along Highway 22 to the national park (135 km). Enroute stop to have breakfast at Trang Bang or Tay Ninh. Arrived at around 8.30 am. Drop in the visitors' center to have some necessary background information of the park. Transfer by car on 10km dirt road to reach the park center, in Ta Not Station. Go up the 33 meter high watch tower to take in the panoramic beauty of the surrounding landscape. Short transfer to the boat dock. Hop on the motorboat for a ride on Vam Co Dong river along the border with Cambodia. Stop at the border stone 132 for a photo. Transfer to Do Ha for lunch. Afternoon take the light trekking loop through the tall trees around the stations. Arrive back to Do Ha for dinner and to overnight.

Day 2:
After simple breakfast, set out for the main hike through the thick vegetation of the tropical jungle intercepted by scenic expanses of grassland - one of them is home to the curious pot-shaped canivourous plants. The hike passes by the huge trees nationally designated as a "Heritage Tree" for the huge dimensions and the old age of over a hundred of years. Loop back to Do Ha Station to complete the hiking exploration. Change and have lunch. Now you are ready to bid farewell to the rangers and head back to Saigon.
